ALS becomes an ADISA certified ITAD

We are thrilled to announce that Asset Lifecycle Solutions has passed the ADISA Standard 8.0 certification process with distinction to Data Impact Assurance Level 3.

We hope this goes some way to show how seriously we take data security by the efforts that we have taken to achieve the highest level possible for our customers.

ADISA Certified ITAD

Who is ADISA?

ADISA are the ICO approved GDPR certification scheme that governs the IT disposal industry. ADISA is mapped to law which is evidence of GDPR compliance. With over 200 assessment criteria, you can be assured that your ITAD (IT Asset Disposal) supplier has gone through a rigorous process. The process is also accredited by UKAS which is further evidence of its assurance.

What does DIAL 3 mean?

As an ADISA certified ITAD, ALS are certified to ADISA Data Impact Assurance Level (DIAL) 3. But what does that mean?

ADISA and the ICO worked together to develop a data security process based on 4 key factors to help manage the range of data security needs.

  1. What is the level of threat to your business?
  2. What is the level of risk that you are willing to accept, or attitude to risk?
  3. What is the volume and type of data that you handle?
  4. What would be the impact to your business if you were to have a breach?

Depending on the answers to those questions, your organisation would fall into one of three camps.

DIAL 1, DIAL 2 or DIAL 3, DIAL 3 being the highest of the levels.

Since we are certified to DIAL 3, that means that ALS can handle disposal at all the levels below it.

Huge milestone for ALS
