Frequently Asked Questions

What is classed as waste and what is classed as an asset?

Aside from batteries and fluorescent tubes, everything we collect is classed as an asset.

This allows us to maximise the reuse of your equipment without it ever entering the waste hierarchy.

What is the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive?

WEEE includes most products that have a plug or need a battery. The WEEE Directive became legislation in 2007 with the aim of reducing the amount of WEEE being disposed of in landfill. Organisations must ensure that their WEEE is retired in line with this.

Does equipment have to be pre packed?

No, we do all the work for you. We come equipped with everything we need for removing and storing your equipment.

Do you impose minimum quantities?

No, we can collect anything from a single mouse to a complete data centre.

How much does it cost?

In many cases we are able to provide a free of charge service. This is possible as equipment can often have residual value that we can use to offset our processing costs and even generate a positive return for our clients.

What should I look for when choosing an ITAD?

Choosing a trustworthy IT asset disposal specialist should not come down to cost alone. Ensure that they have things in place such as certain accreditations, secure facilities, secure drivers and vehicles.
